Visual identity, exhibition design and signage for Eden’s Rainforest Canopy Walkway exhibit.
Set in the Eden Project’s Rainforest Biome and telling the story of climate science, the Rainforest Canopy Walkway is an interactive walk-through exhibit. Inspired by what might be found in areas of rainforest around the world, the visual identity comprises hand-rendered elements, a custom hand-drawn typeface, based on Cooper Hewitt, and a simple, bright colour scheme.
All signage was applied to rough-cut wood using a special direct printing technique. This gave a hand-painted look, further reinforcing the connection with the rainforest areas. A selection of different styles and techniques were also used on secondary exhibits throughout, enhancing the immersive nature of the experience.
